It highlights how FinTech investments enhance profitability, ESG performance, and risk management but may introduce short-term inefficiencies and increased risk. The study emphasises the influence of bank and FinTech business models on performance outcomes, offering a detailed examination of the dynamics of bank-FinTech collaborations. It emphasises the necessity of flexible regulatory frameworks to facilitate innovation while ensuring financial stability. Practical implications for banks, FinTech firms, and policymakers highlight strategies to optimise M&A synergies and align with digital and sustainability goals.
