Chapter Chapter 1 in Political Economy and International Order in Interwar Europe, 2021, pp 1-21 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The chapter presents an overview of the subjects covered in the book, combined with a survey of recent historical research on related topics. The focus of our exposition rests on the connections between scholarship on the history of European integration and arguments about the reconstruction of international order during the interwar era, and the relevance of the concept of order for new paradigms of political economy emerging at the time. We conclude with a brief description of the several chapters comprising the volume.
