Abstract:
Abstract Villy Bergström (1938–2018) was by far one of the most colorful Swedish economists. He had his education from Uppsala. Later he was attached to the Industrial Institute for Economic and Social Research [Industriens Utredningsinstitut—IUI] and The National Institute for Working Life [Arbetslivscentrum], before becoming the first director of the Trade Union Institute for Economic Research [Fackföreningsrörelsens Institut för Ekonomisk Forskning—FIEF], editor in chief of the daily newspaper Dala-Demokraten and deputy governor of the Riksbank.
