Chapter Chapter 4 in Joan Robinson in Princely India, 2022, pp 35-43 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Towards the end of 1986, I had reasons to suspect that Joan Robinson had written something on the issues before the Butler Committee. On the assumption that some work was done, that Joan Robinson was totally committed and that the man on the spot, Sir Austin, must have been of valuable assistance when he, according to himself, could spare the time, I proceeded to the next step of following up the work and activities of the names mentioned in Joan Robinson’s correspondence with colleagues in India.
