Chapter Chapter 3 in Fuzzy Business Models and ESG Risk, 2023, pp 29-51 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The aim of the chapter is to present information on fuzzy sets, in particular the concept, assumptions, applicability and limitations. Differences between classical and fuzzy logic are shown as well. Attention is paid to the spheres of application of fuzzy logic in many areas of life, e.g., it has been shown to be extremely useful to many people involved in research and development. It is widely used in sciences, e.g.: chemical, aviation, agricultural, biomedical, computer, environmental, geological, industrial, mechatronic and economic. An important part of the considerations is the presentation and typology of fuzzy MCDA—multi-criteria decision analysis.
