Abstract:
Abstract The financial crisis of 2008 has rekindled interest in topics within the diverse field of economics, ranging from understanding systemic risk within the global banking system (Acharya, 2009), to how the financial system interacts with the real economy (Bayoumi and Darius, 2011), to the neuronal activity of the human brain during asset bubbles (De Martino et al., 2013). These extremely complex and enlightening fields will drive research into many interesting questions in economics for the coming decades and promise a great insight into these areas.
