Intersectoral Capital Flows and Balanced Agro-Industrial Development in the Philippines

M.S.J. de Leon

No WP 1984-01, Working Papers from Philippine Institute for Development Studies

Abstract: This paper attempts to estimate the magnitude and direction of capital flows between agriculture and non-agriculture sector. It also measures the extent to which government price intervention policies may have counted for these flows. Some implications for the strategy of balanced agro-industrial development and for the country’s development goals are presented.
