Abstract:
Based on the results of the simulations suggested by the PIDS-NEDA Philippine Annual Macroeconometric Model, this report analyzes the impact of the external sector and of some economic policies on the Philippine economy. It also describes how the simulations are carried out, what adjustments and assumptions are made. To facilitate understanding, a brief description of the model structure is presented with emphasis on the external sector and its linkages with the real and financial sectors.
