Abstract: The first bulletin on 1972 Population Census of Pakistan was re~d recently by the Census Organization. With these data an attempt has been made to arrive at some tentative conclusions on the following matters a) The rate of growth during the intercensal period 1961 and 1972 b) Underenumeration in 1972 census c) Impact of family planning programme on rate of population growth d) The rate of population growth in different provinces and e) Sex ratio.
