Abstract: Adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in southern Africa face triple the HIV incidence of their male peers due to multiple factors, including economic deprivation and age-disparate relationships. A new study by Aurélia Lépine and colleagues has demonstrated that addressing healthcare costs among AGYW has the potential to reduce HIV incidence.
