Curentul Juridic, The Juridical Current, Le Courant Juridique, 2013, vol. 54, 50-54 Abstract: All protective order statutes permit the court to instruct the abuser to stay away from someone, their home, their workplace or their school and to not contact them. Victims generally may also ask the court to order that all contact, whether it be by telephone, notes, mail, fax, email or delivery of flowers or gifts, be prohibited. In Hungary, the protection order is one of the emergency provisions, and it means restriction of freedom of movement. The model for the Hungarian legislative power was the system of Austria, where the legal institution has an effective function. We can find the emergency barring order by the police, the protection orders by the Civil Court, and since 1976, women’s organizations and women politicians have built a network of services supporting women. We can see an overall system during the procedure, which can be a model for every pays.
