Raghu Bista
MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany
Abstract:
This study investigates empirically what is conflict induced displacement in Nepal from 1996 to 2004 after the conflict led by the rebellion (Maoist). We use econometric model based on Consumption Econometric Model. The econometric model estimation provides higher consumption demand than average consumption per ca pita of the displaced people in five development regions of Nepal. The result indicates critical living standard in urban areas because of un-guaranteed non-agricultural income.
