Abstract: The work examines the advantages and the problems of the interdisciplinary scientific researches. The analysis of these questions is made in the context of the requirements for holding an academic post. Based on the scientific research are made summaries and conclusions about the applicable legal regulations – the Development of the academic staff in the Republic of Bulgaria act and the Rules for its implementation.
