MPRA Paper from University Library of Munich, Germany

Abstract: This article investigates the association between transformational leadership (TL) and project success (PS) via the intermediary effect of emotional intelligence (EI). A multistage random sampling approach is implemented to gather data from task chairmen and project managers in the development and construction business of Pakistan (n = 244). Univariate analysis and regression analytical procedures were applied to the data for investigation. The findings demonstrate that EI plays a vital role as a mediator, reinforcing the consequences of TL on project success in the construction industry. This paper facilitates the literature by emphasizing the collective role of TL and EI in attaining PS in the construction industry.
