Abstract: The textbook has as its main addressee the students from the University of Economics - Varna, studying the discipline "Labor and Social Security Law", in accordance to the maximum extent with the curriculum and the curriculum. It can be successfully used in both educational degrees - bachelor's and master's degrees. The material is systematically distributed by subject matter, following the system adopted by Bulgarian law. The aim is to address, in groups, the main issues of the respective legal fields, by looking at their theoretical and practical dimensions. Two main groups of questions can be identified on this basis. The first, which clarifies in principle the basic institutions and concepts in labor law; the second, which examines the institutions, norms and theoretical statements related to social security law. The statement has a substantive substantive focus and, therefore, outside its scope are topics related to arbitration and court proceedings, which deal with procedural issues. A number of publications and works by Bulgarian and foreign authors have been used in the writing; publications concerning scientific developments on the subject of the material, as well as the current normative matter.
