Abstract: The internal dimension of public diplomacy, which undoubtedly also include communication with its citizens and attempt to explain the state's position and gain citizen support for these attitudes, are an important part of care for the country's reputation. This dimension is also very important for the European Union. The article examines the domestic dimension of public diplomacy in the European Union through the lens of a general model of this dimension in the basic structure depicting actors, key documents and tools used. The text follows identical features as well as differences on this dimension in the EU practice. Attention is paid to the period after 2004, when the EU adopted several key documents which were detached to change the relationship of Member States of the Union. Raises questions about the extent to which the system chosen home dimension to contribute to closer ties to the European Union citizens and to European issues.
