Intérêts et limites de la notion de règle chez Hayek: Un éclairage par la comparaison avec l'économie des conventions

Abstract: [fre] Hayek et l'école de "l'économie des conventions", malgré des positions divergentes en philosophie sociale, font une critique comparable de la théorie du choix rationnel néoclassique. Il s'appuient aussi sur des hypothèses similaires quant à la nature des processus cognitifs à l'œuvre dans la coordination économique. La notion de règle est au cœur de leurs analyses. Cet article vise à montrer les points communs, les divergences et les limites des analyses des règles proposées par ces auteurs. [eng] Hayek and the french school of "economics of conventions" have diverging positions on social philosophy. Nevertheless, they share similar critics with regard to the neo-classical rational choice theory. They also have in common close hypothesis regarding cognitive processes underlying the economic and social co-ordination. The concept of rule is at the heart of their analysis. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the commonalties, divergences as well as the limits of their respective analysis concerning the rules.
