Abstract: [fre] L'intention de cette étude est de présenter, à partir de données empiriques récentes, une critique des trois interprétations existentes quant au contrôle des grandes entreprises de propriété canadienne : contrôle par les institutions financières, contrôle internes, contrôle par une élite économique : Partant de cette critique, l'auteur substitue à ces interprétations la démonstration de l'existence d'une bourgeoisie canadienne contrôlant ces grandes sociétés. [eng] This paper starts with a critique, on the basis of recent empirical data, of the various existing interpretations as concerns the control of domestically owned big enterprises in Canada : control by financial institutions, managerial control, and control by an economic elite. This paper then tries to demonstrate the existence of a canadian bourgeoisie keeping those big enterprises under control.
