Apoyo a las empresas y empresarios en las zonas rurales de Cataluña

Abstract: RESUMEN El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el empresariado en el ámbito rural catalán y mas específicamente identificar los mecanismos de apoyo público actuales a la creación y desarrollo de empresas en cuatro comarcas rurales y dar cuenta de la valoración que de los mismos hacen los empresarios. El trabajo se basa principalmente en sesenta y cuatro casos de estudio de empresarios de diferentes sectores de la actividad económica y de ámbitos territoriales diversos. Se inicia el articulo ubicando la problemática del empresariado en el desarrollo rural. ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to expand what we know about the rural Catalan business environment. More specifically, our objective is to identify the public support mechanisms for business creation and development available in rural Catalonia and give the appraisal that the rural entrepreneurs are making of this assistance. The results of the paper are mostly based on sixty-four case studies of entrepreneurs from four different rural counties in Catalonia. These counties were chosen based on a typology developed for rural Catalonia built according to the countys productive base. The results of the study were complimented with findings from other similar research.
