Abstract: Devenir directeur de recherche à l’université… Quelles motivations ? Quelles difficultés ? Quels « sacrifices » ? L’auteur présente différents points, en particulier la pluridisciplinarité des matières et des approches, les grands types de recherche et le travail de recherche en équipe. Recommandations faites aux jeunes chercheurs qui se lancent dans l’aventure; ces conseils ne concernent pas directement les méthodologies de recherche qui sont du ressort des professeurs et/ou des directeurs de recherche, mais un ensemble de détails qui pourront permettre au chercheur débutant d’éviter un certain nombre de pièges. To become a director of research at University... What are the motives? What are the difficulties? what are the « sacrifices »? The author presents different points, in particular the pluridisciplinarity of subjects and of approaches, the main categories of research and the collective character of research. He makes recommendations to young researchers. These advices do not concern the methods of research which are the responsabilty of professors or research directors, but they consist in a set of details which may help the young resarcher to avoid some traps.
