Abstract: Est-ce qu’on est arrivé à une conceptualisation satisfaisante des alliances stratégiques ? Comment les différentes approches économiques analysent-elles ce phénomène ? Aboutissent-elles à un compromis ou à des contradictions ? Quelle évaluation peut-on en faire ? Autant de questions qui méritent que l’on s’y attarde vu l’importance que revêt le phénomène des alliances. A n’en juger que par les firmes concernées, on peut en effet dire que les alliances sont devenues sans conteste l’un des faits marquants de l’univers économique et de sa théorisation. Une revue des principales analyses en gestion et en économie d’entreprise est ici présentée dans un effort de synthèse, en vue de constituer la base d’analyse nécessaire à la compréhension des alliances stratégiques Are the frameworks analysing strategic alliances satisfactory? How do the predominant economic approaches analyse this phenomenon? Are they coherent or contradictory? What evaluation can be addressed to them? The importance of the alliances phenomenon makes all these problems worthy studying. In fact, regarding the firms concerned by this phenomenon, no contest can be made that strategic alliances have become one of the major facts of the economic environment and its conceptualisation. In this paper, we review the main approaches in management and firm economics concerning this field of study, in an attempt to integrate them in a framework allowing the analysis of strategic alliances.
