Abstract: La région Nord/Pas-de-Calais termine peu à peu sa mutation industrielle et se tourne désormais vers l’Ensemble Européen en se positionnant comme un axe stratégique majeur en matière de transport. Le transport routier de marchandises est déterminant dans cet objectif et se doit de s’imposer parmi ses nouveaux concurrents. Il apparaît donc nécessaire de consolider le potentiel de ce secteur en mettant l’accent sur l’emploi et la formation. Au préalable, il est nécessaire d’obtenir un état des lieux précis du secteur pour lui confére r les outils les plus adaptés à son développement et aux objectifs macro-économiques qu’il représente. The Nord/Pas-of-Calais area finishes little by little its industrial change and turns from now on to the European Market by positioning itself as a major strategic axis as regards transport. The road transport of goods is determining in this objective and must impose itself among its new competitors. It thus appears necessary to consolidate the potential of this sector while accentuating employment and training. As a preliminary, it is necessary to obtain a precise inventory of the fixtures of the sector to confer it the tools most adapted to its development and to the macro-economic objectives that it represents.
