Statistical Research of Risks in Car Insurance

Abstract:
The work presents recommendations related to the methodology of actuarial and statistical data research in car insurance sector that can be used in the majority of risk insurances. The work also includes the findings based on the actual data gathered by a Moscow insurance company. The reader is expected to be familiar with the basic principles used in statistics (Aivazian, Mkhitarian, 2001) and actuarial science (Kornilov, 2004). The article shows the role the statistical data analysis plays in actuarial data research and may be used by university, graduate, and postgraduate students majoring in actuarial science.
