Abstract: Many conglomerates employ various performance measurement tools to monitor the performance of their employees. Most of these performance measures only concentrate on the financial dimension of the performance. The balancedscorecard is one such tool that measures the performance of a firm along multiple dimensions. This study investigated the implementation ofa balancedscorecard intheperformance measurement system ofthe FMCG Sector of Pakistanand measured its impact on employee satisfaction. To achieve this objective, a quantitative study wasdesigned on FMCGsand primary data was gathered using a Likert scale questionnaire administered to 218 respondents.Results indicate thatemployeesatisfaction experience improvedafter the implementation of a balancedscorecard in the Performance ManagementSystem. Moreover, the mediatingrole ofthe Performance Management Systemin therelationship between the Balance Score Card and Employee Satisfaction was also partially proved.
