Abstract: Human resource is the most important asset to an organization. Thus, efficient and satisfied employees are crucial to an organization's overall performance. For employees to be efficient and satisfied, work environment among other job factors will play significant roles. However, in the 21st century, organizations are facing challenges due to the dynamic work environment. One of the many challenges of today's organizations borders on how to satisfy and retain efficient employees to be successful and remain competitive. Hence, this study is designed to investigate the association between work environment and job satisfaction, as well as the job factors that employees consider essential in order to be satisfied with their job. The study was carried out among employees of International Tobacco Company, Ilorin, Nigeria. Structured questionnaires were administered to 226 randomly selected respondents from each unit of the organization and 217 were analyzed. Multi-item measures were used to assess variables.
