Abstract: All employers of labor want to maximize profits; hence they want the best talents and dexterities. We are in the globally competitive business environment, therefore, for an st organization to survive in the 21 century it has to update its activities in line with the best global practices. HRM is vital to a successful institution. It is an entry and exit point for employees in an establishment and merges the countries in the world into a global village. Human Resource Management is one aspect of human endeavors that is being affected by globalization; employees who cannot cope with the ever increasing global competition will fizzle out. Hence, this paper examines a significant relationship between globalization and human resource management and their effects on sophisticated workforce in Nigeria. The study applied theoretical and literary methods to gather information. It anchors on scientific management theory by Fredrick Taylor and world systems theory by Immanuel Wallerteins. Data gathered showed that since 1990s there have been accelerated dynamisms in the areas of HRM among nations of the world. The paper recommends effective application of information communication technology by firms and government agencies, proper international exposure of workforce to ensure their relevance in the international community as a global space. Therefore, that globalization of human resource enhances efficient and competitive service delivery by employees; there is the need for consideration on information and communication technology in order to achieve this feat.
