Abstract: This study investigated the effectiveness of corporate financial disclosure quality on the performance of non-financial quoted companies in Nigeria. It also determined the long run and short run relationship between financial reporting quality and the performance of the companies. The study used the annual data from 2009 to 2020 that are elicited from annual reports and accounts of non-financial quoted companies in Nigeria. The time series properties of the variables are examined before the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) analytical technique is adopted to estimate the existence of co-integration relationship among the study variables. The study concluded that in both the long run and the short run, the financial reporting quality have positive and statistically significant effect on performance of the non-financial quoted Nigerian companies. It was recommended that efforts should be into improving corporate governance policies and compliance enforcement to enhance the quality of Financial Reporting vis-à-vis financial performance of Nigerian companies.
