Abstract: Since Prof. Steve H. Hanke began teaching at Johns Hopkins in 1969, he has taught a number of courses and instructed thousands of students and research assistants. I conducted a survey of his former students and courses, beginning comprehensively with courses taught by Prof. Hanke in fall of 2004. In this paper, I summarize the results and add appropriate commentary to provide an overview of Prof. Hanke’s teaching effectiveness over time and its relation to students’ performance in their jobs post-graduation, both in isolation and compared to other courses offered at Johns Hopkins University.
