Abstract: Based on the Technology Acceptance Model, this paper explores the importance of three moderator variables—‘Risk’ ‘Security’ and ‘Trust’ —in the consumer acceptance of online banking in a Canadian environment. The results highlight the predictive power and suitability of the proposed conceptual model, considering the introduction of three moderator variables. In fact, the findings stress that ‘Risk’ (Perceived Risk) could hamper the use of the internet banking, whereas Security and Trust could enhance the use of online banking.
