Abstract:
The existence of job discrimination is a fact that has been seen both in fact and statistically. Empirical evidence shows that the highest rates of such discrimination are in those jobs that involve power and decision making.This study analyzed the presence of job segregation and equal opportunities in the daily practices of universities of the State of Guanajuato, México. It was found women are underrepresented in positions of political and social power, and even in some areas, participation of women is lower than the national average.
