Abstract:
Globalization has brought about profound changes in the world economy, leading to an increased integration of markets and the expansion of international trade. It has facilitated the flow of goods, services and capital, creating an interconnected global market. This openness to international trade has a significant impact on the competitive pressure local actors face, prompting the need for an integrated approach from competition authorities. In this article, we will explore the impact of the level and the dynamics of international trade on competition, the implications for different areas of expertise of competition authorities and we will carry out a descriptive analysis on the openness to international trade across various sectors from the national economy.
