Abstract:
The current debate in the Romanian public sphere regarding the level of our country's public debt, lacks precise objective data to facilitate the identification of optimal solutions or this problem of general interest. Thisnecessitates turning to external sources that offer the best guarantees of impartiality and professionalism. Among these are four of the most important international organizations, namely: the International Monetary Fund, the World Intellectual Property Organisation, the World Bank and the International Labor Organization. The relevant information published by these institutions on the Romanian economy can help us understand more accurately the situation we are in, especially in the broader context of the European Union and even at global level. Key indicators include: the gross domestic product (GDP), purchasing power parity (PPP), exports of goods and services, innovation, economic complexity, labor productivity, average annual salary and public debt.
Keywords: romanian economy; european union; gross domestic product; purchasing power parity; exports; innovation; economic complexity; labor productivity; average annual salary; public debt. (search for similar items in EconPapers)
