Abstract:
The paper presents an analyse of the quality of the sludge from the wastewater treatment plants. It has been sampled sludge from 73 operational wastewater treatment plants, the study being considered relevant at national scale. The results indicate a normal composition without concerning overpassing of toxic compounds as heavy metals. Though, the concentrations of some parameters indicates insufficient treatment of the sludge and important possibilities to improve the actual wastewater treatment schemes.
