Abstract: This paper addresses the problems of groundwater management issues legislatures. It reviews the regulations set developed during 1990‐2010. The focus is on discussing specific use issues groundwater as a drinking water source both for collectivity and for individual households. Are detailed on the criteria and size of sanitary protection zones of groundwater abstraction.
