Abstract:
The article presents the parameters that influence the dynamics of air-water mixture in an aeration tank from wastewater treatment plant and the researches conducted in these area. The mathematical model used to understand the dynamics of two-phase mixture is VOF (Volume Of Fluid) model for which various boundary conditions were applied. The objectives of the researches were to determine the impact of the air bubble size and its rise velocity on the flow regime.
