RESEARCH REGARDING THE COMMUNICATION AND THE COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES OF THE ROMANIAN REGIONAL WATER SUPPLIERS

Abstract: Both the communication activity and the commercial activity of the water services regional suppliers from Romania have got less research attention than the operational activity of these companies. In this context, the present analyze focuses on a series of aspects related to the communication between the water regional supplier and its consumers and on its Public Relations activities, on the one side and on aspects related to the regional suppliers’ commercial activity, on the other side. The new technologies and, mostly, the Internet-based ones, allow to the regional water services suppliers in Romania to develop new tools that facilitate the relationship between the supplier and the consumers. The purpose of this article is to give a descriptive overview of the degree of dissemination of the new or improved communication channels and activities, at regional suppliers’ level, but also the assessment of their performance, through measurement of the share of contented consumers with regard to a series of aspects of the communication activity of the supplier and its improved commercial activity, through the use of the new, mainly Internet based, technologies.
