Abstract: Employee performance attributes of personality consists in targeting the following: to be a cultivated person, to have and to prove through attitudes, behaviour, opinions, a wide horizon of general and specialized; to master solid knowledge in the resort domain; dignity, authority, prestige, a man of honour, consistent in thinking and decisions; modest; near, but not familiar, demanding, but not harsh, confident in their own and others’ forces, concerned and responsive to people’s burdens, understanding, but not naive; with own opinions and viewpoints, openly expressed both before their colleagues and their supervisors also; the ability to recognize their mistakes, strictly in principles and graceful in applying them; power to fight with their own witnesses, to know and to overcome them. As a result of finding practical, some psychologists have also shown the role of certain personality traits and the importance to be granted to them as follows: self-confidence and self-esteem, place of control, dogmatism, adaptive or innovative style, need of power, tendency to risk etc. Starting from these, this paper aims to demonstrate the role that the selfconfidence and the place of control – as psychological traits or complex of traits – have in ensuring the success in one activity or another, in professional success.
