Abstract: The present study analyzes a particularity of the decisional activity, namely the persistence in decision, the determinant psycho-individual and psychosocial factors and their consequences at the level of attitudes and ideas. Its aim is that of clarifying and extending the explicative-interpretative models of persistence, as well as bringing forward possible ways of avoiding decisional traps. The phenomenon was analyzed on a group of 243 high school students in Bucharest, aged between 15 and 18, by means of the experimental method, having inducement as a main technique. The study of the factors influencing the persistence in decision used the Berkeley test, the sociometric test, the interview and questionnaire investigation, as well as a drawing projective test.
