Abstract: The relevant logistics guarantees not only economic benefits for a business, but also contributes to its long-term development, which conforms to the present and future requirements of the information society. The transformation from 1st to 5th party logistics providers is presented in this article. The concept of 5PL providers represents the scientific basis for the transformation of traditional business into virtual organizations. The 5PL providers generate flexible network cooperations between all participants and operate as a regulator of the all flows in the logistics networks of virtual organization. The evolutionary result of the 5PL concept is to create a zero-level logistics, there will be no any intermediaries.
