Abstract: Proposed the author's methodology for assessing and ranking financial risks in the oil industry, which consists of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods, such as: SWOT analysis, risk rose, as well as assessing the financial condition of an organization. To assess the financial condition of the organization, a table of financial ratios has been compiled in the following areas: analysis of liquidity and solvency of the company; analysis of the financial sustainability of the enterprise; analysis of business activity of the enterprise; analysis of profitability of financial and economic activity of the enterprise. The selected methods and ratios allow identifying and assessing the financial risks of organizations in the oil industry, as well as reducing the probability of a risk situation in time. The analysis of financial risks using the above methodology was carried out on the basis of the financial statements of PJSC NK Rosneft. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the organization being analyzed has a number of problems with financial condition, which are expressed in the unstable financial situation of the organization being analyzed, due to too high dependence on borrowed capital; the lack of own working capital for doing business, low efficiency of the organization, due to low profitability ratios
