Abstract: The modern market of payment services is developing very dynamically. New products, services, services necessary to perform settlement and payment transactions, accelerate the conduct of transactions, minimize costs. The rapid development of information technology and technology requires the application of innovations in the settlement and payment industry. Recently, cryptocurrencies and related technologies have become increasingly popular. Current research is related to the implementation of implementation technologies. Methodological substantiation of the study analysis, synthesis, and theoretical synthesis. The main results of the study are: the identified features of cryptocurrency; analysis of the Ripple payment system based on blockchain technology; the possibility of using this technology in the payment industry. Key points and conclusions can be used in the development of payment system models based on the blockchain technology.
