Analysis of Russian companies under sanctions pressure: export problems and ways of its reorientation

Abstract: Introduction. Western sanctions imposed in response to various political events significantly impacted multiple sectors of the Russian economy. The analysis of Russian companies’ exports under sanctions pressure provides an opportunity to assess the current situation and develop strategies for sustainable growth and adaptation to changing conditions. The article aims to analyze the exports of Russian companies under sanctions pressure and ways of their reorientation. Materials and methods. Articles from periodical scientific journals were used as materials. The research methods were case study and SWOT-analysis. Results. Before deciding to enter the international market, an entrepreneur needs to analyze the state of the business and assess the export potential of the company. The factors determining the main advantages of export for any small and medium-sized enterprise are as follows: 1. Expansion of the sales market and its ecosystem with future goods of similar profile; 2. Expansion of sales volumes and growth of the focus group of potential consumers; 3. Increase of the enterprise level, its hierarchy, its hierarchy, its integration into the market structure or into the meso-level of the corresponding cluster or sub-sector. Conclusion. Export reorientation also brings risks and challenges such as changing business models, adequate risk management, and possible barriers to new markets. Nevertheless, with the right strategy and support, Russian companies can find new opportunities for growth and development in the changed international environment.
