Abstract:
Facing cultures at work in a globalized world, managing cultural diversity becomes a major element for internationally operating companies. Another influencing factor in this framework is the increasing digitalization and the associated effects. The nature of intercultural interactions is changing due to the increasing use of new communication technology. This enables the agile work of global employees. Specialists can be deployed in different locations and working contexts according to their skills and independent of their location. Accordingly, this requires new skills of the affected workforce. Thus, HR departments are required to offer new concepts of intercultural training programs, designed individually on multiple aspects of the corporate context. The following article gives an overview on the literature of the field of intercultural management training. The aim of the article is to give an outlook of the context and to identify potential implications for the corporate practice.
