Abstract:
The following article focuses on the role of M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions for start-up companies. lt is aiming at showing how entrepreneurs can benefit from transactions and how far they can use M&A, private equity, and venture capital for their companies' growth strategy. Additionally, the article will have a closer look at the meaning of private equity and venture capital as a financing alternative for start-up companies. As an opinio communis, especially start-up companies only seldom use traditional banks as financing partners, so that they depend on alternative lenders of capital. Also, the risks of taking private equity or venture capital money and acquiring a company in general will be named.
