Abstract: The work was written to analyze the regulatory framework for monitoring the costs of officials, the practice of applying the laws, as well as to develop recommendations for improving the mechanism under consideration. Federal and regional laws, municipal regulations defining the order of organization of anti-corruption control over expenses are analyzed; the study of judicial practice is carried out. Based on the analysis and systematization of the regulatory framework, it is concluded that it is sufficient to solve the problem of combating corruption. It is determined that the number of regulations exceeds the number of cases brought to court. The conclusion is the point the nature of the control of expenditure and low efficiency. The scientific novelty of this article lies in the development of recommendations for improving the regulatory framework of the organization of control over the costs of officials, the expediency of a phased transition from selective to complete control based on the use of modern digital technologies. The author considers corruption as one of the main threats to national security and ways to combat it. The basic role of the legislation of the Russian Federation, on the basis of which an active state policy on combating corruption should be carried out, is noted. It is proved that now it is necessary to actively apply the current legislation of the Russian Federation to combat corruption.
