Abstract: The article presents the results of a study conducted to assess the amount of financial support provided in the Orel region socially oriented non-profit organizations, including organizations engaged in volunteer activities. A theoretical review of the main provisions of the volunteer management strategy in the Russian Federation. The study allowed to identify and characterize the forms of support provided to socially oriented non-profit organizations by public authorities of the Orel region. Based on the data of the Register of socially oriented non-profit organizations of the Orel region-recipients of support of the Governor's Office and the government of the Orel region, the author reveals the amount of subsidies received by socially oriented non-profit organizations from the budget of the Orel region for 2012-2018.
