Abstract: The article discusses the key geopolitical approaches to the formation of the educational space in Germany. Particular emphasis is placed on joining the Bologna process, introducing a two-stage education system, facilitating scientific exchanges and improving educational system management processes. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of international standards regarding the implementation of the concept of continuing education and the harmonization of formal qualifications of higher education.
