Abstract: The article discusses issues relevant to multinational Russian society preserving ethnocultural diversity in the context of the implementation of state national policy. Based on the analysis of regulatory documents that determine the basic principles of national policy, the features of national-cultural components in the institutional and resource environment of Russian society are revealed, the conclusion is made about the existence of a complex of risks due to contradictions at the level of legislation, formal and informal practices of implementing national policy measures.
