Abstract: The development of industry in modern conditions plays a key role in maintaining the economic security of the state at a high level. Effective investment policy is a guarantee of modernization and digitalization of equipment and technologies of the metallurgical industry, also contributes to improvingof product quality, skills development, job creation, high competitiveness of domestic enterprises and growth of gross domestic product. The article considers the current situation of economic security, analyzes the possible threats. The structure of gross value added and the volume of investments into fixed assets in industry is shown. The article presents a methodology of improving the efficiency of the investment policy of metallurgical enterprises aimed at stabilization and economic security and improvement of the current situation.
