Abstract: The purpose of this article is to explore the role of visual information sources in modern society. Virtualization and visualization processes have created a new social reality that has changed the daily lives of individuals. An analysis of these processes, due to the growing popularity of social networks, is devoted to the work presented. In addition to instant transmission of information, visual sources can influence the consciousness of individuals and social groups by broadcasting new norms and values and shaping public opinion. The positive and negative effects from these processes tried to describe and evaluate the authors in their study.
